This policy explains what happens to your data when you use salarycosts.com. The short version: the salary you type into a calculator is processed in your own browser and is not sent to us.

Calculator data

Salaries and options you enter are calculated on your device. They are never uploaded. The “Last 3 Salaries” list is saved in your browser’s local storage so it is there when you return; clear your browser data or use the delete buttons to remove it.

Server logs

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. This is necessary to run the website (legitimate interest).

Cookies and similar technologies

When you first visit, a consent banner lets you accept or decline cookies that are not strictly necessary. Without your consent we do not set analytics or advertising cookies. You can change your choice at any time from the link in the footer.

Analytics (with consent): we use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand which pages are useful, for example how many people use each calculator. Data is aggregated and we do not try to identify you.
Advertising (with consent, once we show ads): we plan to show ads served by Google AdSense, which uses cookies to show relevant ads and measure them. You can manage ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com.

Fonts

Pages load the Roboto font. Where it is loaded from a font service, that service receives your IP address.

If you subscribe, we store your email address with our email service provider to send you the newsletter, until you unsubscribe. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw using the link in every email.

Contacting us

If you email us we use your address and message only to reply and to improve the site.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws you can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent and complain to your data protection authority. Write to us and we will respond promptly.

Children

The site is not aimed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy when our services change. The date above shows the latest version.
